Statement of Purpose Bluewater Christian Camp is a nondenominational camp, founded on Bible teaching, for youth on Prince of Wales Island and all of Southeast Alaska. Our aim is to provide an opportunity for more of our Prince of Wales youth to go to a Christian camp. We need one that is nearby and easy to get to, so that travel time and expense can be cut down. Lower travel costs will also make it easier on parents and chaperones. Bluewater is located on Coffman Island in Coffman Cove. It is not ready to use yet. You can help with donations of auction items, materials, money, your time, and your prayers that the Camp will be completed in God's time.
Thanks to all the crews who have volunteered their time and hard work! A lot of work was done on the boardwalk, which was greatly appreciated! For you who haven't been to the Island: much of our ground is swampy (which is called "muskeg" here), so boardwalks are used instead of rock paths or concrete sidewalks. Supplies Needed Nails; more logs to be sawed for building; concrete for building blocks; sewer-line pipe; plumbing supplies of all kinds; wiring; windows; doors; people to pack supplies to the building site. Fund-raising We are forming a fundraising committee and would like some of your ideas. If you would like to make a donation or be on the committee, please contact us. You may call one of the Board members listed below.
Dean & Nadine Blankenship, (907) 828-3413 God has already opened so many doors that we are confident He will continue
to fill needs and work with the communities to complete what He has started.
Please be open to what He will ask you to do for Bluewater Christian Camp.
