freezes, there are stairs to be considered. Villages are reached by either plane or boat; there are no roads between the communities.

"It's a great adventure and very satisfying to be where we are needed and wanted!" said the Marshalls.

The Rev. Marshall plans to return to Alaska this summer to minister in three villages in the Yukon Delta on the west coast of Alaska - Alakanuk, Emmonak and Kotlik. He also will work at Camp Agaiutim Nune, which is 20 miles up the Yukon River. His wife will stay in Kansas City where she has started a business designing Web pages to help supplement their income. She will communicate by email with her husband during their time apart.

Those interested in possible ministry in Alaska should contact the Alaska District Council, 1048 W. International Airport Rd., Anchorage, AK 99518, (907) 562-2247.  FAX: 907-562-2352 or email to Superintendent Bill Welch
